Job Description

Biotricity Inc., an innovative medical technology company, has an immediate opening for a Health Outcome Improvements Intern. We are looking for the young and hungry! This is an exciting opportunity to work for a start-up company and delve deep into the biotechnology sector, attaining transferable skills and experience that you will need to work in a variety of healthcare, technology, and business administration specialties. As an intern with Biotricity, you will liaise directly with patients using the company’s flagship mobile cardiac telemetry device, Bioflux®, striving to improve patient health outcomes by ensuring that every aspect of device usage is effective and efficient. Candidates should be bright, polished, possess a “can do” attitude and are looking for an opportunity to work in a business atmosphere marked by a strong work ethic and a team-oriented setting. The ideal intern is professional, compassionate, dependable, prompt, responsible, and requires minimal hand-holding. An ability to prioritize workload, self-manage projects, and handle multiple tasks is important – sometimes you just have to “roll with the flow!” ????

Position Responsibilities

Although additional duties and related tasks may be assigned, the essential duties and responsibilities of this position include the following:

  • Ensure patient information is accurately and appropriately entered into web portal
  • Provide patient education on proper device use, electrode placement, charging the device, wearing the device, common issues, tips & tricks
  • Ensure patient is familiar with the Bioflux® quick guide
  • Assist patients with troubleshooting the Bioflux® device
  • Ensure ECG tracings are being transmitted clearly for patients whose ECG studies have just started, assist with troubleshooting if ECG tracings are not clear
  • Assist with organizing device return & replacement for patients
  • Provide feedback on process and workflow improvement for web portal and device usability, identify gaps and suggest improvements where applicable
